How to use this website

Courses

Browse the courses available in the Courses area. Once enrolled, find your course list in the My Courses area under ‘Enrolled Courses’.

There are two types of course:

  • Micro-courses. These are short courses covering a small topic and are free for all.
  • Full length courses. These are full length courses which have support from a tutor. Access to course materials and tutor support for one month is available for purchase at any time to learners in the U.K.. If at the end of the month you would like to extend your access, you can do so in the My Account area.

Free training

We offer free training to learners from the Global South. Applications can be made here. After we have processed your application, you will receive an email containing your coupon code for a 100% discount which can be applied at checkout.

Tutor support

The full length courses have tutor support. You can ask questions about course materials using the Question & Answer function. The Q&A tab is located at the top left-hand side of the course page, next to the Lesson list. Please allow three working days for a response to your question.

Course progress & completion

Your course progress is visible on the Course homepage and under your enrolled courses. To complete the course, you must pass any necessary quizzes and complete all lessons. To complete a lesson, select the ‘Complete Lesson’ button at the top right of the course page.

Certificates

Certificates of course completion are available for the following courses:

  • R for Beginners
  • Calculus for Modelling
  • Introduction to Epidemic Modelling

To obtain your certificate, you must complete the course by passing all quizzes and completing each lesson. Once you have completed the course, you will be able to download your course certificate from the course title page.

CPD Certificate

For courses that are certified by the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) service, if you require an official CPD certificate, please get in touch at contact@equationsofdisease.com once you have completed the course.
